shape, some patients choose Body Sculpting, a minimally invasive
approach to removing fat. This simple weight loss procedure is very effective for
removing areas of unwanted fat, and Body Sculpting
allows Dr. Wall to recreate the right curves and body lines
that you have lost with excess body fat.
Unwanted fat
can be removed from your belly (abdomen), waist, hips, back,
bra-line, inner and outer thighs, "saddlebags," knees, male breasts,
chin and arms. During your Complimentary

Body
Sculpting is a body reshaping procedure that involves the recontouring of the body by
removing
unwanted fat through small straw-like tools called cannula.
Initially, the doctor will draw on your skin with a marker
to determine the exact areas and amounts of fatty tissue to remove.
You will then be given an oral medication to help you relax. Once
you are relaxed, a topical numbing medicine is placed in all
targeted areas of fat. After the tissue has been sufficiently
numbed, the solution and unwanted fat are safely removed using a
small cannula, inserted via tiny 2mm to 3mm holes.
You will remain comfortable throughout the
entire procedure. Once the Body Sculpting procedure is complete, you
will be placed in a form-fitting garmet and be able to walk out of
the office on your own to be driven home by a friend or family
member. Generally, the procedure itself takes approximately 2 hours,
although this may vary depending on the individual patient.

While you can remove unwanted fat
using both Body
Sculpting and Liposuction, Body Sculpting offers patients more
reliable and improved aesthetic results. Liposuction can often
result in areas of ridging (areas of skin deformity). Because Body
Sculpting uses smaller cannula, this occurs infrequently. When it
does occur, it can usually be treated with
Carboxytherapy, thus
avoiding the necessity of repeating the procedure and providing our
patients with a very pleasing end-result. |

In our opinion, Body Sculpting is more effective
because SmartLipo is only for small areas of fat and is unable to
remove the significant amounts of fat that can be removed with Body Sculpting. Because
there are no expensive lasers involved, Body Sculpting is less
costly than SmartLipo. Because Dr. Wall uses specific techniques
including Radiofrequency and Synergie during and after Body
Sculpting, skin tightening results are similar to SmartLipo and are
much more affordable for our patients. |

Body Sculpting can safely remove about
4 to 5 liters of fat, although results are measured loss of inches,
not loss of weight. Patients generally see a significant change in the size of the
clothing they wear with changes of up to 2 to 3 sizes (Ex: size 14 to
size 10 to 8). |

Many areas of body fat can be removed
with Body Sculpting including the abdomen, waist, bra line, love
handles, thighs, hips, neck, knees, arms and, in men, the breasts.
The number of areas where fat can be removed at one time depends on your height and weight. Our primary
focus is your safety, and we will treat only the number of areas
that can be treated safely at one time. For most patients, we can
satisfy their body reshaping goals in a single procedure. |

Because of swelling, it takes approximately one
month to begin to see results. Maximum results are seen at 3 to 4
months once all lymphatic drainage occurs. |

What Happens After the
Body Sculpting Procedure?
Generally, most
patients experience minimal discomfort and use Tylenol for relief. The discomfort is often described as "feeling like I did
too many sit-ups." We require all patients to wear a form-fitting
garment for up to 30 days following the Body Sculpting procedure. |
