Carboxytherapy utilizes Carbon Dioxide (CO2) to improve blood flow,
improve tissue oxygenation and destroy unwanted fat cells.
This therapy is new to the United States, but has been used
successfully in Europe and South America for over 15 years. |
| |
|
The CO2 is delivered into the fat and
subcutaneous tissue just under the skin through a small needle. From
there, it easily spreads to the desired areas. |
| |
|
Carboxytherapy
Therapy works in two ways. First, carbon dioxide directly kills fat
cells. Second, it improves blood flow and lymphatic flow to areas of
the body. This means more oxygen and better removal of toxins from
these target regions. The end result is fewer fat cells with firmer,
healthier tissue. |

|
Carboxytherapy
is an excellent adjunct for melting fat. It can be used with Radiofrequency or alone for this purpose.
This treatment is excellent for reducing cellulite and even some
stretch marks. We have found this treatment to be the single most
effective approach for these problem areas. Lastly, Carboxytherapy
is good for skin tightening, especially moderately loose neck skin. |

thickening of the dermis and rearrangement of collagenous fibers is

Some patients
feel minimal discomfort while others feel more with each individual
responding differently. Patients can experience a light tingling
sensation near the injection site which disappears within a matter
of seconds. As a result of the increased blood flow, the area
surrounding the injection site may feel warm and heavy for 10 to 20
minutes. |

Around the 8-10
session mark, you will appreciate significant changes that will
continue to improve with additional treatment. Generally, about 15
sessions are necessary to eliminate unwanted areas of fat and
cellulite. |
| |
|
Cellulite can be
treated, but not cured. So this depends entirely on you and how you
treat your body. Those who eat healthy, drink plenty of water and
exercise will see the best results. We recommend a maintenance
program of treatment to maintain your results. |

No. A study published in the Aesthetic Plastic
Surgery Journal found that CO2 therapy is safe with no relevant side
effects. |
